We built the site we wished existed for small business owners
Most workplace safety information online is written for compliance officers who already speak the language, or it's a wall of legal text nobody reads until something goes wrong. We wanted something in between: plain-English guidance that helps a business owner or a newly-appointed safety officer figure out where they actually stand, without needing a compliance degree to read it.
What we do
danger.id is a workplace hazard identification and OSHA compliance information hub. We built a free AI hazard identifier that takes a plain description of your work environment and flags the hazard categories most likely to apply, along with practical next steps. Alongside it, we publish guides on the categories that come up again and again — fall protection, PPE, hazard communication, electrical safety, and more — and point people toward real, working safety gear and training resources.
What we're not
We are not a law firm, and we are not a licensed safety consultancy. Nothing on this site is a certified compliance inspection, legal advice, or a guarantee of any outcome with OSHA or any other regulator. For an official compliance determination, a citation response, or anything time-sensitive, the right move is always a qualified safety professional or an attorney who handles OSHA matters, or OSHA.gov directly.
How we make money
This site earns revenue through affiliate links to safety equipment on Amazon, and through partnerships with OSHA compliance training platforms. We only recommend categories of gear we'd actually tell a friend to buy — we don't accept payment to feature a specific product, and affiliate relationships never change what hazard categories we tell you apply to your workplace. See our advertising & affiliate disclosure for the full picture.
